About the artist

Hi, I’m Lacy, a self-taught coloured pencil artist specialising in realistic wildlife, pet, and people portraits.

Art has always been my passion, and I love capturing the character, emotion, and fine details that make every subject unique. Working in coloured pencil allows me to create lifelike pieces that celebrate the beauty of animals and people alike.

Before becoming a full-time artist, I built a career in Business Development and Engineering. While I enjoyed many aspects of that world, I ultimately made the decision to leave it behind to protect my mental health and pursue a life that was more meaningful and fulfilling. It was a leap of faith that changed my life.

When I’m not drawing, you’ll usually find me spending time with my partner, enjoying walks outdoors with our dogs, or taking inspiration from the incredible wildlife and landscapes around me.
